This Privacy Policy describes how Flowtonik ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Flowtonik DAW for macOS and its integrated AI services.
Because Flowtonik integrates third-party AI technologies, this policy also explains how your data interacts with our partners, such as ElevenLabs and various LLM providers (e.g., OpenAI or Google).
1. Information We Collect
We collect information to provide a functional DAW experience and to power our AI features:
- Account Information: When you register or purchase Flowtonik, we may collect your name, email address, and billing information.
- Technical Data: To ensure the Software runs correctly on macOS, we collect hardware identifiers, OS version, and crash reports.
- Input Data (The AI Pane): When you use the AI Pane, we collect the text prompts or natural language commands you enter. This is necessary to generate the requested musical or technical output.
- Usage Data: We may collect anonymous data on which features of the DAW are used most frequently to help us prioritize software updates.
2. How Your Data Is Shared (Third-Party APIs)
Flowtonik acts as a bridge between your creative input and powerful AI models. To provide these features, your data is shared in the following ways:
- Music Generation: Your prompts for music generation are sent to ElevenLabs via their API.
- Natural Language Processing: Your text instructions (e.g., "Mix this snare drum to be brighter") are sent to LLM providers like OpenAI or Google (Gemini) to be interpreted into software commands.
- No Sale of Data: We do not sell your personal information or your musical creations to third parties. Data shared with API providers is strictly for the purpose of generating the output you requested.
3. Your Creations and Training
- User Content: We do not claim ownership of the audio files or projects you create.
- AI Training: Flowtonik does not use your local audio files or finished tracks to train our own models. However, please be aware that the third-party API providers (ElevenLabs, OpenAI, etc.) have their own policies regarding whether they use API input for "model improvement." We encourage you to review their privacy policies (linked below).
